5 Love Lessons Can Be Taken from David Bowie and Iman

January 11, 2016 to be a day of sadness for music lovers, especially the legendary musician David Bowie. The musician died after 18 months of fighting cancer. One of the most grieving is his wife, who had been with him the last two decades, Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid.

Not many celebrity couples who have high popularity can last more than a decade of marriage today. Love is never easy if it is always exposed to the public, but the pair Bowie and Iman is evidence of struggle in love. Here are five lessons to be drawn from partner David Bowie and Iman.

1. Love is About Courage Dropping Options
Reported by US Weekly, Bowie and Iman were both divorced with his first spouse. They met on a blind date in the '90s, and Bowie was love at first sight.

"I could hardly sleep because of too happy with our first date," Bowie said during an interview with the magazine Hello! in 2000 ago. "It will be my wife, I thought, it has to be. I just knew that he was the one."

Faith is not so in the beginning of their meeting. "I'm not ready for a relationship. Actually I do not want to deal with people like him," said the supermodel told The Guardian in 2014.

3. Romanticism Not Stop Despite Married
Most couples no longer show affection or romance after marriage. But Bowie, he worked hard to Faith. The musician also said his home life with Faith always full of jokes and kisses.

People magazine when asked how they keep the romance alive, Bowie said: "Word of mouth did the trick!"

4. Each Arguments Will End
Faith reveals to Harper's Bazaar if Bowie was a typical English gentleman polite and never fight. While he is the type of woman who always scream.

"He always makes me laugh. It's like a cabaret, I still entertained too. I admire ... Really though it was many years," he said.

5. True Love Not Easy Demolished
Although it always looks romantic couple in public, but many are speculating if their love will disappear later like most celebrities.

Faith reveals to NY Mag, it is this which makes them not want to spend Valentine in public because people will be watching, looking and speculating about their relationship.

"You think a rock star marrying a supermodel would be the best thing in the world. That is the fact," said Bowie.

Until the last days of David Bowie, Iman and their children Alexandria remained on the side of her husband.
